Apostle Dr. Sheila Dunbar is a distinguished servant of God, visionary leader, accomplished author, Senior Pastor, educator, entrepreneur, certified chaplain, and mental health counselor whose life and ministry are devoted to advancing the Kingdom of God through biblical teaching, prophetic ministry, leadership development, and compassionate service.

Called to serve in the five-fold ministry, Apostle Dr. Dunbar ministers as an Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher, with a passion for equipping believers to grow in spiritual maturity, discover their identity, and fulfill their God-given purpose. Her ministry is marked by prayer, biblical integrity, spiritual discernment, and a commitment to strengthening the Body of Christ.

She serves as Senior Pastor of New Greater Harvest Worship Center in Wilmington, Delaware, where she is committed to preaching and teaching the uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ while nurturing disciples through worship, prayer, sound doctrine, and servant leadership. Through Bible study and practical, Spirit-led teaching, she encourages believers not only to hear the Word of God but also to apply its principles to everyday life.

Beyond the local church, Apostle Dr. Dunbar is the Founder & Executive Director of the Delaware Diocese Gospel Coalition, a Kingdom-centered organization she established to foster unity and collaboration among churches, ministries, dioceses, and five-fold ministry leaders. The Coalition is committed to strengthening ministries, developing leaders, building Kingdom partnerships, and advancing the Gospel through fellowship and community impact.

Within One Accord Worldwide Church of God, Inc., Apostle Dr. Dunbar serves as Jurisdictional Bishop of Northern District #4 and is a member of the Board of Bishops. She was formally affirmed into the office of Apostle during Holy Convocation in October 2023.

Education has remained an important part of her personal and professional development. Apostle Dr. Dunbar earned both her Master’s Degree and Doctor of Divinity from New York Christian Bible College. Her commitment to education is also demonstrated through her ownership of Kingdom Care Learning Center, reflecting her dedication to child development, families, and educational excellence.

Her ministry reaches beyond the pulpit into chaplaincy, emotional wellness, and compassionate care. She holds certifications in Hospice Chaplaincy, First Aid, Disaster Response, Community Crisis, Nursing Home and Assisted Living Chaplaincy, and is a Certified Mental Health Counselor. Through these areas of service, she brings together faith, compassion, encouragement, and practical support to minister to individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging seasons.

Apostle Dr. Dunbar is also the Founder of Stepping Into Greatness Women’s Ministries, an outreach dedicated to empowering women through healing, restoration, spiritual growth, leadership development, and the discovery of purpose. She is also a member of Influential Women, joining a community that recognizes and celebrates women making meaningful contributions through leadership, service, and influence.

As an accomplished author and contributing author, Apostle Dr. Dunbar considers writing another extension of her ministry. Her published works include I Declare and Decree: Your Words Matter, I Declare and Decree: 30-Day Healing Declaration Journal, and I Am She and She Is Me. Her literary contributions also include the anthologies I Survived the Storm: Still Standing and The Job Experience. Through her writing, she encourages readers to embrace healing, strengthen their faith, understand the power of their words, persevere through adversity, and move confidently toward their God-given destiny.

Born to the late Bishop James Woods and Pastor Mary Frances Woods, Apostle Dr. Dunbar’s life was shaped by a rich legacy of faith, family, and servant leadership. She shared more than four decades of marriage with her beloved late husband, Reverend Elder Joseph Dunbar Sr. Together they raised their two children, Taishia and Tony, and she is the proud grandmother of Tymirra, Nahzir, Nylah, and Naseem.

In honor of her husband’s life and legacy, she established the Joseph’s Coat of Colors Memorial Scholarship, extending his memory through educational opportunities for deserving college students.

Above every title, accomplishment, degree, and recognition, Apostle Dr. Sheila Dunbar considers her greatest privilege to be serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Her mission is to preach the Gospel, develop leaders, restore hope, strengthen families, empower women, and equip believers to walk boldly in the fullness of God’s purpose for their lives.

Her life and leadership continue to reflect faith, integrity, perseverance, excellence, compassion, and unconditional love. She lives by the personal motto:
